Am I a california resident?

<p>hello im a 16 year old living with my mom in New Jersey. However, my dad lives in california and is a resident there( my parents aren't separated or divorced they just live in two different states)So my question is am i considered as a california residemy nt without moving there? Or am i a new jersey resident since thats the state where i live? I need an answer because it is important when i apply for UCs</p>

<p>You would have to do a year of high school in CA to be a resident.</p>
