am i a fiddle?

is WashU playing me
i keep thinking they must really like me for sending all that mail- but are they just tricking me to up their admission stats?

It isn't a "trick" as you suggest, but it also doesn't mean they really like you. WashU sends alot of students alot of material. Many of those students will get accepted, many others will be waitlisted, and even more will find themselves rejected. If the school is one you are genuinely interested in, and your stats are reasonable, then apply. If not, and you just want to add another thick envelope to the stack, you'd be better served not applying.

Yeah, WashU tends to make a point of getting its material (en masse) to people it thinks might be a good fit, with a lot of collateral damage along the way. It's a great school though - if you think it'd be the kind of school you're looking for you should definitely apply.

Which is not to say that you may not be a fiddle. We're a pretty diverse school - if a 4-stringed chunk of wood managed to get a 32-34 on the ACT or rank well on the NMSQT, why should WashU discriminate?
