I've been worrying in relation to college apps because I'm scared that I don't have enough of either that or that.

To be more specific, I don't have that many volunteering hours. I think maybe around 150? But that's because I went to 3 year missionary trips that counts as 40 hours.

Also, I really don't have that many ECs..... for school.
Marching band - 4 yr
Debate - 1 yr
NHS - got accepted senior year.

And I regret SOOOO much that i didn't take more ECs my Sophomore, Junior and Frenchmen year (mostly sports)

Can I still get into good colleges? because I don't want to sound cocky but I improved a lot on my academic grades and scores.

So just an overall question. Do ECs matter that much?

ECs do matter. A lot. It shows what the applicants did/do outside their academic realm. Having said that, what’s your GPA and test scores? And what are the “good colleges”?

well. My initial GPA and scores were poor because I always under prepare. but always do better next time.
I have a gpa 3.85. i dont know the weighted.
I took 1 honors in fresh
2 honors in sophomore
1 ap and 3 honors in junior
4 ap and 2 honors in senior

act : 27 to 31
math 2 : im giong to take it again in nov 8. i initially got 680, aiming for 800

colleges : penn state , pitt, univ of maryland, U of M, v tech

You’re not going to get much/any aid at those out of state schools. What is your home state?

How much will your parents pay towards college?

In another thread, you mention that you’re not a citizen. Do you have a green card?

If you need aid, and you have a green card, then apply to your own state’s schools, privates that give aid, and the few OOS schools that give lots of aid (need or merit) to OOS students.
