Am I a lost cause?

I started community college in 2009 and in the middle of my last semester I decided I didn't want to go anymore and failed 3 of my classes (I know it was dumb and I'm regretting it now). Plus I was just out of high school so I really wasn't taking CC as seriously as I should have been. This past summer I started back up and retook 3 of the classes I failed, so now my gpa stands at a 2.61. I'm one class shy away from receiving an associates and I have 85 attempted hours with only 58 earned hours.

I really would like to continue my education on at a university but I'm scared that I really screwed myself over. I don't necessarily have a particular school in mind, FL, TX, OR schools would be nice, but I'm open to anywhere being I plan on majoring in Communications/Public Relations.

Do I honestly have a chance at being accepted?
Where would you suggest?
What can I do in order having a better chance?

Any suggestions would be really helpful.

Thank you!

See if you can take some classes online and not officially count them towards your community college. This way, when applying to another school, you can submit those transcripts and look like a stronger applicant. I don’t really know about schools in the areas you’re looking into, but it’s never too late and you aren’t a lost cause. Best of luck!

Thank you for replying back, I appreciate it. When you say take classes online, but not toward my community college… how would I do that? Where can I take these classes? Thanks again!
