<p>I definitely don't want to rely on just hooks to get into the school I'd like, so this isn't too much of an issue, but it would help if it were something that I could use to give myself the edge over another very similar candidate.</p>
<p>I am white, English-Irish, Anglican. I feel decidedly over-represented when I spell it out like that! However, because I was born in, and am a citizen of, the UK, not America, am I a minority?</p>
<p>Are you kidding me? You’re absolutely not; just b/c you are not American, does mean you are a minority by any stretch of the imagination. </p>
<p>And this is not to mention the fact that the UK is one of the most represented countries in International admissions, so it’s only harder for British students (as applications from the country are not a rarity).</p>
