What are my chancesss!

You would've had a great chance in ED, I think, although because you're from NJ, I don't really know about regular.

If you had lived in AK, then you would've gotten in for sure, I believe.

And as for the "typical asian" Well ish. haha kinda like me. At least you don't play tennis or table tennis.

I had similar SAT scores, but I was really the typical asian with the scores. 780m, 800 wr, 710 reading. 800s on chem and math lv 2. 5s on apus, calc ab, and chem.

But my ECs were the the typical alaskan: skiing, running, track.
some were asian: internship, tutoring. etc.

I got in through Ed

no offense but with that 3.9 WEIGHTED GPA you're not

Why do people insist on socially constructing constitutions of "asianness"?

Hon, if you don't get in, no one will.

It's not just the GPA that matters - look at your SAT scores and your extracurriculars!

If you're worried, then I should be terrified. >.<

hey, at least your stats bring you up to that caliber. i'm asian but i can't be a "typical asian" because my stats are lower by like...200 points T_T

^Midnight Firefly

By what you say, Columbia must be very easy to get into compared to HYP or Stanford. because a 3.9 WEIGHTED is very bad

its out of 4.3 or 4.4 not a 4.8 or 5.0 scale

Dang. This is a downer. on my part. very good stats. Good job... A little jealous I. You accomplishments but whatever.
By "income bracket," do you mean your parents income in thousands?

Sorry about the sentence and its refusal to make any sense. I meant that I'm jealous of your accomplishments.
No idea how it got there.

Hi Guys! I’m a student at Columbia and I just want to tell you that there is no cut off for GPA. A 3.9 GPA does NOT disqualify you for admission. Absolutely not. In fact, there is NO GPA that disqualifies you for admission. It’s about the whole package. The Admissions Office looks for candidates who are going to bring something unique to the school, rather than someone who has perfect grades and test scores. Of course those things are important, but are not the whole game.
