iam filipino(southeast asian) so does that make a underrepresented minority for any ivies' or any universities in the midwest(any decent science programs i will consider) exept comunity college

and if you are a urm what difference will that make of your chances of getting admitted if you have mediocre grades

for example only APs iam going to take are bio and chem becuase you can say iam lazy

gpa: have no idea but freshman year in high school i got the worsts of grades(ds)
but rest of high school career As and Bs and
ACT not got it yet but i think upper 20s like25^ best possible score i think i got was a 31
list some possible universities that might except me
i live in IL

in reading some of the posts on this site i have found that people think that being asian lessens the chances of being accepted to a top notch university, but iam filipino and i think we in the asian community are the most under represented, do adcom.. subspecialize asians as a community or just as a whole… it for example saying a person is white, but not stating if there ceczk, irish, english, or the like. i could care less but me not having the acedemic excellance compared to my competitors my question is asking WHICH COLLEGES WOULD ADMIT ME HAPPLY AND WHICH WOULD OFFFER THE BEST SCIENCE AND ARTS PROGRAM(OFFER A B.A.S)
my number one option is illinois institute of technology
two is knox college
does anyone have any incite of my chances of being accepted

My son was accepted into IIT with a 28 ACT and received a merit scholarship (he isn’t attending though). I’m not sure about Knox, but they are SAT/ACT optional so you could try. Good luck!
