I signed up for the message board and was also granted access to the "Admitted Students" chat board. If Carnegie Mellon filters which forums we have access to, why would they let us on the AS forum if we weren't admitted?

Absolutely never mind. I just made up a chat forum account using a friend's information that didn't even apply to CMU and was granted access to the AS forum. So much for wishful thinking...

That sucks. O well.

yeah i really don't think so. but it does make your heart jump when you get the confirmation letter and the sender says "Admit". hahaha.

True, I made another account, even without the Bio.Id they gave us and i was still able to get access to the Admitted Foruml.

what a shame. does anyone know if cmu lists the admissions decision letter in the admissions documents sent section of our status pages? it'd be nice to know the date so i know when to check online.

rma32, idk who, but somebody said they called and was told it would be 3/22 but it seems it hasnt been mailed yet cause on ur admissions status page it would say whether ur decision letter was mailed.

Wouldn't it take time to put it up in the page though, like by the time it was put online the decision would be online.

It is my understanding that 3 days after the letters go out the decision is posted on a student's application status webpage. There are threads in which writers state they have been told this by the admissions office.
