I am looking at schools like umich, Boston College, Boston University, umiami, Northeastern, cornell and vanderbilt (as HUGE reaches), wake forest, tulane, and syracuse. I'm not sure if this range of schools is right for my caliber of student, and I was wondering if there were any other opinions out there. I've heard my stats are not good enough for these schools, but then again, a lot of people from my school with much lesser applications are applying to most of the same. Is this a good group? What are my chances?

Oh yeah my stats:
-3.5 gpa (I go to a VERY competitive high school, and is known by colleges as one of the top- many have said they will take my gpa into account differently because of this. I also have improved through the years- from a 3.0 in a class in 8th grade, to a 3.4 in freshmen year, 3.6, and then 3.7 junior)
-7 ap courses and an abundance of enriched classes
-2 foreign languages and 2 ap maths this year (among the 5 i'm taking as a senior)
-2090 SAT (I took it again and haven't gotten the scores back yet- this test had a bad curve, and so hopefully this will be much higher)
-founded 2 clubs
-played tennis, won multiple tournaments and part of the tennis team
-played in honors piano recitals
-a good college essay (at least in my opinion :) )
-contributor to the school newspaper
-volunteer at the volunteer ambulance corps in my town
-I also have a recommendation letter from my school's vice principal

Thanks so much!
