Am I Aiming Too High?

<p>I wanna apply to Harvard, UPenn, John Hopkins, UVA. Am I setting myself up for rejection? Upenn is my number one choice, considering ED.</p>

<p>It would be helpful to raise your scores or try the ACT. Penn is one of the few top schools where ED helps, so apply ED if aid is not an issue.</p>

<p>Beyond academics (not including standardized testing), you do not seem to offer a solid hook that highly colleges are looking for. Keep in mind that there are at least 20,000 valedictorians every year. Academics and leadership here-and-there alone are not going to cut it for Harvard and UPenn.</p>

<p>UPenn ED would be the best way for you to go, IMO. you have a really good GPA and such, but like samsunimomo said- ALOT of ppl have the 4.0…u might want to try improving your SAT scores and yea you should be fine. </p>

<p>Harvards highly selective nature, without any hook you might be stuck with a crapshoot.</p>

<p>Hopkins i think you will get in most likely.</p>

<p>Dont stress, you have a good chance and have clearly been working hard at it. :D</p>

<p>Retake SAT and add ACT. Just need a little more on the test scores but you should be able to achieve that. Be sure to apply ED and I think you are in!</p>
