Hi!
I am currently in 10th grade and I am applying for several boarding schools such as Hotchkiss, Philips Andover/Exeter, Deerfield, Taft and Choate Rosemary Hall. I am not from the USA but I've lived there for two years during which I attended the French Lyc

Just so you know, most boarding schools don’t care how high your TOEFL score as long as it is above a certain level, it just means that your English level is high enough to work in the learning environment. If I were you, I would study harder for the SSATs because if you have decent grades, but low SSATs then the admissions people will just dismiss your A grades as inflation.

Applying for a repeat year definitely improves your chances, and also sending them your art/a link with your art will help a bit.

Do you play any sports?

After that as long as you don’t need FA your stats are alright, I think the fact you are trilingual is a plus and try and make sure your interviews are good.

Thank you so much!

If 15 hours of ballet a week counts as playing a sport then yes I do. I also did horseback riding a few years back, hope that counts.

im in a very similar situation to yours.

i’m also applying for andover and exeter. also applying for choate and cushing. I don’t have many ECs and my grades are quite bad. very few As some Bs and 2 Cs. I’m working very hard my my essay and ssat. P.S. I’m asian.

don’t waste your time.

I’m applying to Deerfield sps and the like
I play 3 sports and I’m the captain of 1. I go to an academically rigerois day school and get As and Bs, and got in the top 10 percentile on the math Olympiad. I take accelerated math. I got in the 94th percentile on the ssat.
Oh and I won a science award a few years ago.
Chances?
