Am I Aiming Too High?

I want to apply to Vanderbilt, Johns Hopkins, UNC-Chapel Hill, Emory, Wake Forest, Davidson. I'll most likely apply to others for safeties but I was wondering if I had a shot at any of these.

I live in North Carolina, I'm a White female with a single parent (idk if that matters)
I'm a Junior and I've taken mostly Honors and AP classes and I plan to take more, I've gotten A's and B's in all my classes

I should get really good rec's too, but doesnt everybody?

Thanks:)

I think you have a good shot at a few including Davidson. Goodluck!

Also, I’ve thought about EDing to Vanderbilt because there aid program is so good, that I’m not really worried about it. Should I?

How about SAT/ACT?

taking it in December for the first time I’m in a prep class now that averages over 2000 for participants so hopefully that will go well

If you were to be able to get a score in the 2200+ SAT range I’d say you’d have a shot. Though, these schools are selective even amongst students scoring 2200+. And GPA might scare them.

If I were you I’d definitely apply but I wouldn’t get any hopes up.

I’d say they’re a reach but not far enough to be a leap!
Good LUCK!

Thanks rickscott do you know of any schools that would be better matches? And does anyone else have an opinion?
