Not true...unless it's SCEA (single choice early action). For EA, you can apply to as many as you want to complete....as long as none are SCEA. For SCEA, you can only apply to one school.

You can only apply to one ED school.

">>You can only apply to one school EA>>"

"Not true...unless it's SCEA (single choice early action)."

I guess that was my question. I've searched both of these school's websites and I can't find the answer. Are either of these SCEA?

Howard and UMD-CP?

Howard's Early action is not single choice early action. You apply by Nov 1 and receive notification by December 24. UMD-CP has a priority deadline of December 1 (for both parts of their application.

Yes, you can apply early action at Howard and apply by the priority deadline ad UMD. Early action is also not binding so should you get accepted you still have until the spring to make up your mind.

According to the websites...UMCP has priority applications which is like early action. It is not binding. Howard has EA. No mention on either website that theirs are SCEA. I found this by doing a search on the college websites for admissions deadlines. The information was easily available. To be certain, you should call or email the admissions offices at the schools with this question. They would be able to tell you for sure what is the case at their school.

"The information was easily available."

That was rather unneccessary. Before I even posted in this thread, I knew the dates that are mentioned above. I was merely clarfiying that applying to both of these schools was allowed. I already knew about ED, and SCEA, I was just making sure that neither of them was SCEA. Thank you all for your responses, though.

Rbase,
When you have the kind of questions that you posted here -- ones that are specific to certain schools -- if you can't find the answer on the colleges' web sites, e-mail the admissions officers. That way, you'll be sure of getting accurate info.

I think there should be a list of scea schools so ppl would know, and not have to hunt for this information. I think it is kind of new, so ppl do not know who is ea and who is scea; at least I don't.
