I want to take the IB Genetics requirement and one Area 3 requirement during summer sessions (I will be already done with my freshman year). I enrolled in both courses through telebears, but I have no idea if I am allowed to do this. I'm sure they will give priority to IB juniors and sophomores, but if there is enough space will I be allowed to take them? Sorry to ask a simple question like this, but i really don't know. Thanks in advance.

If you are enrolled, then you are enrolled. As for whether or not you are allowed to do so, it all depends on the class prerequisites. But I wouldn’t worry; Berkeley does not enforce prerequisites much, if at all. I’ve pretty blatantly disregarded them and no one has hassled me yet.

^
really?
my friend took physics 7a and math 1a and was told to drop them or something.
What consequences do they give out if ur caught…?

Nobody cares.

Except for Mike Meighan. He’ll drop you from Bio 1AL if you don’t meet the pre-reqs. It’s a huge class and he calls all the shots.

I’m might take IB132 for my major and it says prereqs are Bio1a and ib131. So do you think i can get away with not taking ib131? or should i take it?

^
I don’t need IB131L I just need Ib 131 as prereq to ib132. Hmm I might as well do that.
Cool.

hey leftist. I remember you made a premed guide a while back. I can’t find it.
