so I wanted to ask if I am already rejected by the UCs I applied(UCD,UCSB,UCSD,UCSC,and UCI).This semester I applied for UC TAG and got Davis and Santa Cruz's TAG approval.However,I drop my Calc I class with a Withdrawl because I know I couldn't raise it more than a C and I had some family issue to deal wth..during the month of october I asked Merced about this situation and they finally respond today about my situation:

Thank you for your question. The TAG for a ******** science major at UC Merced
requires you to take UC Merced's equivalent to Math 21, in your case, Math 190.
Since you dropped taking that course, your TAG will no longer be valid.

However, you should still have applied through the UC Application this November.
Whether you receive a TAG or not, applying through the regular admission cycle
will give you an opportunity to receive regular admission to the UC campus.

I mention my situation under the additonal comment section of the application,but i dont knowif they will rwad it since I've seen posts that they don't.what to do now?
(by the way I did not apply to Merced since it is my back school if I don't get in this year.)

What’s your GPA? Major? How many prereqs have you completed? But no, I didn’t TAG into any schools and I got in a bunch of places. No TAG doesn’t mean automatic rejection.

@lmendoza.012:
GPA:it is around borderline 3.0.
major:chemistry(B.S.)
pre-reqs:i will still be needing 6 classes if i dont get in this Fall. :(

Just asking here in this thread because I found it strange that I got the TAG from Davis and Santa Cruz even tho I am missing a significant amount of pre-reqs and the withdrawl for my Calculus I class.The only thing that looks good on my application(my opinion so I could be wrong) is my completion of IGETC and by the end of this Fall semester I will have over 60 units.So I am just finishing pre-requisites for my major.

@ray: If you’re GPA is below a 3.0, the only school you might get in is UCSC. But if its above, you’re fair game for UCSD, UCI, and UCD. Why didn’t you TAG into UCSD? But you really need to do well this semester if you want a chance for admission next fall (those 6 missing prereqs really hurt you)

Don’t worry, if you meet the UC eligibility requirements (basic stuff, it’s around), and all the other UCs reject you, UCM will send you an email offering admission (and a bit in the mail around that time too).

Good luck dude! Hopefully you get into more places :)
