Am I annoying a professor by asking him to write Recommendation Letter repeadetely?

A professor with whom I've worked with for several months have agreed to write me a letter of recommendation. I understand that he is very busy. But I have only 10 days left until the deadline (1 Nov). I've reminded him about 4 times.

Should I keep reminding him every two days? (he almost never replies but when he does he tells me that he WILL write the letter)
Or
Should I NOT remind him frequently and only remind him when 3 days are left until the deadline? As emailing him every two days may annoy him and as a result he may write a negative LOR?

As I have only 10 days left I cannot switch to someone else because no one will write a LOR at such a short notice.
I'm very afraid: what if he doesn't submit the LOR before the deadline? I'll be screwed.

You’re not screwed. Colleges know that LORs can trickle in past the deadline. They have some leeway about this.

Volunteer to write it for him, and have him sign it. Lol. Might just make him realize that the time has come. Or, he will take you up on it and voila! Done! (Make sure you give him a detailed resume to work from. Anything you can do to make it easier will get your letter written that much sooner).
