I know its getting late, but I've been having doubts about the schools I'm applying to and feelings that there are school that might be great fits that I just don't know about.

Heres my current list of schools:
MIT
Stanford
Cornell
Carnegie Mellon
Marvey Mudd
Berkeley
UWashington

Brief overview of my app:
SAT: 2220 (800 math, 740 writing, 680 reading - I retook the test in december, haven't gotten the scores yet, but I'm pretty sure I did better)
SAT II - 800 Math II, 730 Chem
ACT: 34 (36 math, 34 english, 31 reading, 33 science)
AP Tests - 5 on Calc AB, Lit, APUSH
Senior schedule - 5 APs
Tons of Community service and plenty of ECs
I intend to study in some field of engineering, leaning toward chemical engineering

So... How is my current list of schools? Would you recommend adding any particular schools?

What is your GPA/Class Rank? Is your home state Washington? Do you need financial aid and/or merit aid?

It also helps if you tell us a bit more about what your looking for if you want help with “fit.” Large/small, urban/rural, into sports? music? hiking? chess? newspaper? etc…

Add Penn
Consider Lehigh Bucknell Lafayette

Some quick clarifications:
3.95 unweighted gpa (my school doesn’t do weighted)
28/393 class rank (lack of weighted grades definitely hurts me here)

What’s your home state? Do you think you’ll need financial aid? Can you afford to pay full freight for OOS schools?

Erin’s Dad: To answer your questions - Washington (the state), yes, no

Also, I’m considering adding these schools:
Princeton
Northwestern
Michigan
Caltech
Purdue
UT-Austin

…but I don’t want to be applying to too many schools because of the cost of applications and the extra work involved

Any suggestions on narrowing down my list or even applying to schools not listed are much appreciated.

University of Illinois Urbana Champaign, major engineering school.

How does this look as a final list of 10?

MIT
Stanford
Princeton
Cornell
Berkeley (already applied)
Carnegie Mellon
Northwestern
Michigan
UIUC
UW (already applied)
