am i automatically deferred for Comm School?

hey, i'm a second year about to apply for comm school in a few months.

i've finished all the pre-req's except for comm 201 (currently taking it) and comm 202. the application is due in the spring before i would get the chance to finish comm 202. would this mean i am automatically deferred till i finish the spring semester?

Commerce handles their own admission process. Email them or stop by their office. :)

You only need to complete the pre-reqs before you enroll. Most applicants are in the same situation as you.

Nope, as robertr stated you just need to finish the pre-reqs by the time you enroll in August.

Many comm school applicants do get deferred - so the school can see later grades.

From what I have observed, McIntire seems to defer a lot of applicants. As the timing works out, current UVa students are notified before transfer decisions go out. It looks that McIntire hedges on some current UVa applicants while the it sees how many transfers they end up with. The deferred students go through an interview process. In the cases I am aware of, a number of deferred students were eventually accepted into McIntire.

Vince~ Hereafter is the link for 2012. I would also suggest yous top by the office. The staff is very helpful and will discuss any concerns you may have.
