Am I "average"? chance me

<p>I've applied EA to Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Maryland-College Park and Illinois.
I plan on applying to Boston College, Georgetown, Cornell, and maybe a few other more prestigous schools for RD</p>

<p>SAT: 2150 / 2400
750 math, 710 CR, 690 Writing</p>

<p>GPA: 3.4 UW / 3.9 W</p>

<p>Courseload: Difficult. 8 APs, almost all the rest honors level.</p>

<p>ECs: very strong load
Class President, 3 years
Student Government member, 4 years
Varsity Football and Lacrosse, 3 years
Engineering Club, 2 years
Students Taking A Stand, 4 years
Grilling Society, 3 years, Treasurer 2 years</p>

<p>Out of School: Eucharistic Minister at Roman Catholic Church
Bassist of successful local band(i've played a show with a band signed to a record label)
Member of Church Music Ministry
Work Experience: Team Lead at KFC/Taco Bell, 1.5 years. working 25-30 hrs/week during the school year, 40 hours during summer</p>

<p>I think you have a shot at both BC and Georgetown, especially since they are Jesuit colleges.</p>

<p>Your gpa is going to hurt you, is the w on a 4.5 or a 5.0? 5.0 and it will kill you even for UMDCP, especially if you are from NJ.</p>

<p>First off, you’re not average. The thought of surviving one AP class makes the average kid’s blood boil and the diversity of your ECs is respectable
I digress. With BU and Georgetown it’ll come down to how you present yourself in your essay. I’ve seen people admitted into College Park with lower GPAs and weaker credentials than yours.</p>
