Am I behind in applying?

I am out of state and a review applicant. I haven't submitted my application yet and I am waiting to do so until after finals. Are my chances of getting accepted lower because I've waited so long and am I behind in applying?

Also, will being an out of state applicant help or hurt me at this school?

first off, is there any specific reason why you’re choosing to wait until after finals? what are your stats?

technically the deadline to apply to the university is Jan. 15 so you have until then to get everything in (and it must be recieved and in their hands by that date). hard for me to say if applying later hurts your chances of getting accepted…it depends on what major you’re looking at.

being an out of state applicant shouldn’t hurt you. it didn’t for me.

for particular majors it will hurt your chances tremendously. As far as getting into the school, I have no idea but I would lean on the side of yes it will hurt if you are one of those that it on the bubble of getting in.

I am waiting because I have no time to write the essays currently with all my school work. So I am planning on applying somewhere around December 21-22. They have everything except my application (letters of rec, transcript, test scores) and I am waiting to send my resume for a few more days.

I am applying to be a chemistry major.
