Am I being realistic or reaching too high? ED1 or ED2?

I visited Emory a couple months ago and I loved it. I want to ED there, but if it's too much of a reach, I would be willing to focus my attention elsewhere. Before I go into ED1/ED2, it'd be useful to know my stats -

Core classes only on a 4.0 scale (I recalculated them myself)
Freshman: 3.14
Sophomore: 3.53
Junior: 3.95
Cumulative: 3.54 (eek)

SAT: 2210 (750 m, 720 cr, 740 w)
SATII: 790 MathII, taking Lit in Oct.

Rigor of courseload has increased year. It was pretty mediocre freshman year, but was most rigorous by junior year.

Senior schedule:
AP Calc BC
AP Physics B
AP Literature
AP Gov/Pol
AP Microeconomics
Latin II H

Asian male from NJ.

The adcom during my visit to Emory said that ED2 was a better option for kids who wanted to show their senior year grades, but I'm not sure about the acceptance rate differences between ED1 and 2, if there are any. I'm aware that Emory has plenty of applicants with GPAs higher than mine, but I also know that they give some leeway with ED applicants. The problem is that I don't know how much...

Any advice is appreciated!

I’m planning on ED I. I think the only leeway you can count on for either ED route is a smaller applicant pool, which helps a lot in any case.

Well your SAT scores are pretty good and as long as you have a good amount of EC’s and such, you’ll probably get in ED I. As far as GPA and courses go, both look like they’re on an upward trend, which means you’ll probably want to showcase your senior year grades and achievements as well and go the ED II route. Either way, your chances are really good. :)

okay, just to give an update (if anybody cares hahah), i’ve decided to go with EDII.

For the first quarter of senior year, I will probably have a 3.87.

Any updated chances? :D
