Hey guys,

Well, I guess I am just trying to figure out how to respond to the situation below.

So, firstly last year I was chosen to be treasurer of my school FBLA club. Basically, every year, in the spring we go to our state leadership seminar and compete in state tests. Going to this seminar qualifies you to be an officer of the club the next year. Anyway, I was selected to attend and went. However, things apparently went very badly there. On the 2nd day, I was sitting with a couple friends and couple of sophomore girls were seated a little further down, but were within hearing range. Well, as time went on, I was talking about/debating if evolution provided room for a God, particularly the God of Christianity, with a couple of friends who don't believe in evolution. Then, conversation further diverged when another one of my friends started to debate whether molecular evidence for the multiregional hypothesis vs. the out of Africa hypothesis was conclusive. Well, the girls sitting a little ways down apparently were offended with my "progressive", "heretic-like", and racist (because I believe in evolution I was deemed a racist and for some reason I still don't understand a sexist) views. They sent a text to my teacher/sponsor who called me on my phone and yelled at me for 5 minutes, said he couldn't trust me anymore, and then demanded I go where he was so I could be yelled at more and sent home early from the trip. I was then told I would be receiving 2 40 minute detentions for offending people and would not be invited back to the leadership conference again. I debated him on this stuff respectfully, but it made absolutely zero difference to him. Then, today we were informed of our leadership positions: they were forced to grant me one bc everyone who goes to the conference is guarenteed a position despite what happens at the conference. Anyway, I was assigned the lowest position in the club, assistant historian. HOWEVER, the guy whose historian I think has a mental disability and can't talk (I'm NOT trying to bash ppl with disabilities, but to put a person who simply cant lead a club ahead of a capable leader seems wrong to me). Lastly, the person selected as President of the club didn't take the tests seriously and even ended up writing his name as "Mac Lovin'" on the test, an action that almost got my high school kicked out of the seminar that year! (He was also a VP the year after he did that!)

So I guess I just want to get advice on how to proceed. I tried to give an unbaised account of what happened and just feel I was cheated out of my leadership in a club where I have won numerous state championships (more than anyone else in the organization) and actively contributed.
