I'm a Senior at my High School and will be applying to colleges soon.
I'd like to go almost any of the UC's (Except Merced and Riverside) for Computer Engineering but preferably Berkeley, Santa Barbra, Irvine, or San Diego
I realize any Engineering major is extremely competitive and am not sure if I'd be better off applying as undeclared or as my major (Computer Engineering) in order to be accepted. Here are my stats, please be as honest as possible.
GPA (Weighted): 3.8
ACT Composite Score:27
EC: Vice President of a Philosophy club, Officer of a humanitarian club, 2 Lifeguard Jobs, and 60 hours of community service.
APs: I've taken 7 AP courses throughout High School

However, I haven't taken AP calculus which leads me to believe I wouldn't do that well on the Math 2 Subject Test and I am taking Physics this year which leads me to believe I wouldn't do so well on the Physics Subject Test either since If I chose to take it it'd have to be within a month and I definitely wouldn't be prepared.

So basically what I'm asking is what are my chances of acceptance at the UC's I'd like too attend if I applied as a Computer Engineer major and would my chances be better if I applied as undeclared and then later transferred to my major?
