UofM is my top choice school and i really really want to get in. My cumulative unweighted gpa as of right now in my junior year is a 3.85ish/4 (i expect it to go up because im getting straight A’s this semester), and my class rank is about 12% out of an approx 500 student class size (im also trying to get in the top 10%)
As of when I apply next year, Ill have taken
AP Composition
AP Literature
AP Macroecconomics
AP Psychology
AP European History
Honors english 9
Honors english 10
Honors US government
Honors chemistry
Abnormal psychology (community college class)
Behavioral modification (community college
Im also in cross country, track, student council, NHS, student newspaper, im a student mentor, i volunteer at our local animal shelter, i plan on getting a job at a doggy day care/groomer this summer, and ive also won a few art awards.
Havent taken ACT or SAT yet but im studying like crazy for them
Based on all this, how competitive do you think i am? A reason why i only have 5 APs is because i did my first two years of high school at a school that didnt offer APs but im trying to make up for it by taking 2 college classes in the feild that i want to major in. Most of the “smartest” kids at my school take between 7-12 AP/Honors, and our school offers 15 APs. I am also instate at a competitive high school that sends lots of kids to UofM each year.
Thanks for replying!
PS- i am also planning to apply to
UW-Madison, UIUC, and Boston University (once i find out what my test scores are) so any insight to those schools would be helpful too!
