Am I completely rejected?

I submitted my supplement to Princeton last night and my supplement essay appears as a blank, even though I uploaded it in the proper format and under the word count. Should I just accept that I will totally be rejected? Or will they understand that it was a technical malfunction?
I emailed the admissions office as soon as I found out (before the deadline) and attached my essay as well.
AHHHH freaking out!

Best way to deal with the problem is not to email, but to either snail mail or fax them (stating that there was an error).

College admission officers understand that sometimes technical issues occur. Relax and communicate with the Princeton office (email is probably fine). Don’t expect an answer immediately. They are more than a little busy this time of year.

Do you have a Mac? I have trouble viewing essays on my mom’s Mac, but it’s no problem on my PC.

It should be fine, even if there really was some problem, you sent them your essay, you’ll be OK

Did you upload it or just type it in the box? If you uploaded it, it appears at the very end of the app, rather than under the “Essay” section, in case you didn’t know.

@xnamelessx: Do you mean that you can’t see what you’ve uploaded if you use your Mac, but when you look at it from a PC you can see it? Or that you can only upload it from a PC?

@FallenAngel9: The only way to submit it is to upload it…and I checked, it’s not anywhere in the supplement

There’s a box to type it in if you choose, actually. It’s right underneath the “Upload Document” button.

OH MY GOD it appears that it actually went through. I just borrowed my friend’s PC and the essay shows up. So my 24 hours of complete panic and frantic emails were all for naught.
Hopefully the admissions office has PCs…wow.
