Does the NYU app not ask for grades anywhere on it?? Do they look up your transcripts based on the school code??

no you still have to send in your transcript

When are those due? I honestly don't remember if I turned them in back in December or not!

There's a detailed sheet all colleges require listing every class you took in high school, the grade and the credits. Plus most schools enclose a "high school profile" giiving basic facts of the school (ie: urban suburban, 1200 students). It's called a transcript...don't apply without one!!!

I'm a transfer student if that matters... and I don't see this detailed sheet you speak of anywhere on the NYU app.

I thought it was the schools responsibility to send the transcript, like your advisors. I know in high school all we have to worry about is the app/tests but your school automatically sends transcripts to any college you apply to. They don't ask for your grades because obviously anyone could just make it up lol.
Don't know how it works in college, but go talk to your advisor or someone - your current college probly has to send out your transcript. Well, since it's college, maybe it's your responsibillity to send it out but your college still has to provide you with the transcript since where else would you get it?

I know I have to get them sent in, but I am curious as to when they must be postmarked by. (Pain in the butt for me because I went to 3 diff. CCC's and took APs.) The way the UCs do it is you fill in all of your course info, including grades. If they accept you, you send in your transcripts. If they don't match you can be rescinded.

NYU requires you to send your HS and college transcripts to the school before April 1. Its usually your responsibility to contact the advising office at the high school and your college to send the transcripts... how else would they know to send them? You can read all about the requirements and dates at the NYU Transfer Admissions page..
