Am I crazy?

Hello!

I am currently a junior and I have been trying to finish off my list of colleges I am going to apply to next year. Duke is on the top of my list as Duke is a perfect match. Seriously, I love everything about Duke...from the programs and classes offered, to the size of the university, to the diversity at the university, to the location. Everything. The only problem is I am not entirely sure if I am qualified enough for Duke.

I go to a highschool in a rural area of Kansas and our school doesn't offer a lot of activities. I haven't taken the SAT yet but I plan to next year--only a handful of students from my school take it because most everyone takes the ACT.

Judging from my stats so far, do you think it is even a possibility?

ACT: 31
GPA: Unweighted: 3.93 (out of 4)
-- My GPA will go up after this semester because I am enrolled in several CNAP weighted (College Now, Advanced Placement) courses this quarter.
Our school does not allow students to take honors/AP/CN classes until their junior year. I am taking a College Now Spanish class and CNAP US History this year and wil be receiving 16 college credits.

Activities:
Sophomore Class Vice President
Member of National Honor Society (As a senior I hope to attain a position in NHS office)
Qualified for and participated in State Forensics freshman year and Sophomore year
Member of Natural Helpers (a community service organization) (sophomore and junior year)
Member of Interact (a service organization through the Rotary Club) (junior year)
Member of Youth Court (junior year)
Member of International Club (junior year)
Relay for Life Committee Member (and third chair. I plan to be head chair next year)
and I have been on Student Council all three years thus far.

Over Spring Break I will be participating in the National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C.

I will be taking several college courses my senior year (College Biology, College English, College Calculus, College Conversational Spanish, College Now & Advanced Placement American Government)

Oh, and I currently work part-time as a waitress and cashier.

. . .

So, do I have a shot?

Thanks!

If you can pull a top 1-2% of your calss with a 1350 SAT, your probably in
