I’m going into sophomore year. Next year, I’m Vice President of politics club, Relay for Life captain, Quiz Bowl captain, Mayor’s Advisory board Member, and Principal violist in the top orchestra. I’m also on varsity swim, forensics, math club, HOSA, and DECA. I am taking AP Calc AB, AP Computer Sci, AP Bio, English 10 (no honors available), Business Law/Marketing, and Orchestra.
My Exams- I got a 30 on the ACT (no studying or class yet, will retake after I study later), and a 780 on SAT Chem. I took AP chemistry freshman year.
I really screwed up in middle school. I got 2 Bs and mostly A minuses in the H.S classes I was taking. Then freshman yer I got 2 A minuses and a B plus (rest is all As)
I also have only a few good achievements freshman year- nothing national level, only state level.
Am I on a good track for UPenn if I improve these next few years?
Note- I AM AN INDIAN GIRL. I know I will be held to a higher standard than other applicants.
I don’t even see why you’re even worried… That’s great. Your ECs are stellar, the SAT 2 is great, you seem to think your ACT will be better, as for academics, I had a couple of Bs, I’m an international girl, and I made it into SEAS. So you should be absolutely fine. You have 2 more years till you apply. Try to keep the Bs to a minimum and you’ll be the perfect applicant. Good luck!
