<p>Hopkins will give you a much wider range of students and areas of interest but CMU is fine too. Depends what you want...</p>
<p>CMU is very well respected in the Engineering world.</p>
<p>With the exception of bioengineering majors (such as BME or Chem BE), JHU really isn't that well-known for engineering. CMU seems to be more respectedd for its engineering school.</p>
<p>I have had a great experience doing MechE at JHU and you will for sure have a great deal of opportunity coming out of here.</p>
