<p>And that’s why the UCs are changing the admissions formulas in 2012. They recognize that UC may become permanently Asian (“Historically Asian College”- LOL!) unless they do something about it. This is not only the result of high Asian ed. standards, but the fact the white students are increasingly choosing NOT to attend UC (“white flight”). White yield at UC has dropped by a 1/4th in only 10 years. Generally speaking, white folks don’t feel comfortable in an environment where they are not in the majority.</p>

<p>The new UC standards will lower entrance requirements, almost double the pool of eligible students (mostly whites) and increase the use of “holistic” admissions across all campuses. The net result, hopes the UC Regents, will be a 25% drop in Asian students, with a net student increase taken up by white students.</p>

<p>Sad, but true.</p>
