Am I done for?

Recently, a video of two girls reenacting the tragic scene of George Floyd’s death has surfaced. One girl had a knee on the other girl’s neck and the girl on the bottom repeatedly said “I can’t breath”.

We had a discussion about this at the dinner table, and it was mentioned that the girls were going to UMissouri. My mom brought up some good points as to whether the girls should be revoked or not. I decided to direct message UMissouri on Instagram with poor grammar (no cuss words though, but using texting slang [ur, u, lol, etc]).
I didn’t think they’d see it, but they ended up not only seeing it but responding “Thank you for your input (my first name)”.

The way that the message was formulated kind of made it seem like I was defending the girls’s actions, but I wasn’t. UMissouri is on my list, so will this affect their decision?

Will UMissouri talk to other schools about my message and will it affect their decision?

The George Floyd incident was tragic and has rightfully garnered lots of national attention.
I could definitely imagine schools creating a blacklist of students who have tried to defend the actions of those who made fun of him (I didn’t defend the girl’s actions, but it may have come off as so).

MODERATOR NOTE:
You say in another recent thread that you’re going to Penn State, so why would you also say you’re considering applying to Missouri?

Please explain yourself. Meanwhile, I’ll close your other threads, as TOS clearly state that you are not allowed to misrepresent yourself.

Warning - lecture ahead! Although not the point of the thread, now is the time to learn how adults communicate, including the use of social media. If you want to be taken seriously (which I assume you do / did), you need to speak and write in full sentences using real language. No slang, no jargon no “URs”! Anyone over forty will view that as either lack of education or laziness. Think in terms of how you want to be viewed.

I have two kids too and they’ve had to learn this as well.
