Am I doomed to get into ivy league from SAT score?

Just got my SAT scores back and this is what I got...

Total: 2210

Critical Reading 700 95%
Math 730 97%
Writing 780 99%
Multiple Choice 78 (score range: 20-80)

Essay 10 (score range: 2-12)

I figure for ivy league schools (my top choices are Penn Wharton, Harvard, and MIT) these are pretty low scores. So? :(

2210 is right around the average i would say for most ivies, so as long as you have good extra-curriculars and grades you still have a decent shot.
dont worry so much.

for your choices (wharton, mit, harvard) they're about avg or a little below, but for the rest of the ivies id say theyre a little above avg (i think the avg is like 2160 or so)

Don't worry too much. Your scores are extremely good. :)

I completely agree with tjan. Those schools blatantly place more emphasis on the "well-rounded student". A recent article showed that Harvard rejected more than 3500 applicants with both perfect SAT and ACT scores. If you have good EC's and recommendations, amongst other things, you have a good shot.

^I don't know how that's possible, seeing as only 269 students got 2400s last year: http://www.collegeboard.com/prod_downloads/highered/ra/sat/composite_CR_M_W_percentile_ranks.pdf Unless you're referring to individual sections, I don't think the number is that high.

Regardless, your scores are fine. Retake them in the fall, if you think you can do better, but definitely don't stress about it.
