Am I doomed...?

So I applied to Wharton RD and I can't help but think that since I got a 640 on Math II (bad day and took it once) I'm doomed and my chances to get into Wharton are slim to none. However, I got a 35 on math for the ACT (33 composite) and I'm also taking AP Calculus AB and math has always been one of my strongest subjects. My class rank is about 8/350 and I'm also Hispanic. And I'm graduating with 10 AP's and am an AP Scholar with Distinction. Will adcoms really hold that one test against me when everything else points to my proficiency in math? Thanks in advance for your responses!

I got worse than that, twice, on my Chem SAT IIs and I got in, despite being Asian and not having taken 10 A.P. classes. Nor was I an A.P. Scholar.

I think you are fine, Heatfan. That said, what’s done is done and is entirely out of your control. Let it go and do other things with your life.

You’ll be fine. When they say they review your application holistically, they really mean it.

Doomed? Who knows? Overly dramatic? For sure.

Your chances were poor the millisecond you hit the “submit” button. To wonder about one aspect of your entire app and worry if everything hinges on that one thing: is a waste of energy and emotion. Go live your life.

In 4.5 years, you’ll be getting a diploma following a great college career. The earth won’t split if PENN isn’t stamped on that sheepskin. Relax. Enjoy your senior year.

It will be something for the admission officers to ponder over, but don’t worry - you aint doomed. Hopefully you have killer essays.

Its still all good. write your essays well and you have a good shot.

why didn’t you take yesterday’s SAT Math II again if you got 640? I’m saying this because I got deferred from Wharton and decided to take it again

yea please tell me you have retaken the sat II in january. If all the other parts of your app are great, getting a higher score in SAT II math will give you a boost in terms of getting into wharton
