Duke: Match

really? what makes u think im a match

Let's see...you have a 4.63 GPA (almost top 2% of class), have a 2110 SAT score where the middle 50% of admitted student have somewhere between 1990 and 2290, and you are African American. I'd be more surprised if you didn't get in then vice versa, but Duke has a very low acceptance rate (23%) so it becomes a reach for most applicants. I think you have a good chance, best of luck.

i hope//how bout chacnes for cornell?

being african american gives you a good shot at any school in the country

i dont kno, i dont really buy into that

id say youre in. we're still living in the era of affirmative action, buddy.

even without aa, he is still a qualified applicant to duke.

You're definitely at least match for Cornell.

wat percent chance u think im in for cornell?

You can get a rough idea of your chances by using the search feature to go into the CC archives and check admissions info on the colleges you're interested in.

Here's a thread on Duke admissions last spring: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=45919&page=6&pp=20&highlight=admitted

You are in at duke and cornell.

85% in at Duke, 95% in at Cornell.

slipper, by ur numbers (if they are true of course), it shows u the hold of affirmative action b/c not even a white dude with a perfect 1600 and perfect grades, national award would have those high of chances at these schools.
