Hi guys, I'm a bit concerned with the status of my application so hopefully someone can shed some light on this. I submitted my commonapp and supplement to the commonapp on November 1st, the deadline. Test scores and my transcript were sent well before that, so basically every piece to my application was in by the deadline. But, when I log in on wolverine access it says my application date is November 2nd. Does this mean I am no longer eligible for EA? If so, would a call to the admissions office solve anything?

Well, on the Common App. site does it say Nov.1? The dates on Wolverine Access are probably the dates that UMich updated the information.

We have the exact same problem, common app. submitted Nov.1, Wolverine shows Nov.2. When we called, we were told that it did not mean anything, but do call yourself, and post their response here please?

EA deadline was 11/1. To make sure they got all the 11/1 applicants, Admissions would have had to have done a download very early on 11/2, right? That’s what the status/date on CA means and that’s the date that was put into Wolverine Access. That’s just my interpretation, but based on Admissions’ response to chocoholic’s query, I’d say it’s a reasonable one.

You will get a confirmation email if you are in the EA pool of applicants. My d got her email but online it lists her submission date as 11/2 even though she sent everything 10/30.
From the admissions website:
https://umich.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2026/session/L3RpbWUvMTMyMDc5NjEyNi9zaWQvd0lCVSpESWs%3D

Does the email confirmation say specifically that you’re in the Early Action pool or does it just tell you that UMich received your application? Because I only received the application confirmation email. Wolverine tells me that most of my material was received around 11/4 even though i submitted on 10/30, and that they haven’t received my teacher recs yet. Does this mean I missed the early action??

@ ^ you’re probably good. The “you made early action” email doesn’t come out til mid-late November, from what I’ve heard. I only got the “we’ve received your app” email and I submitted it on the 27th. Don’t worry about your teacher recs not showing up, my WA says they havent received my transcript! I think it takes them a while to update…

I got an email stating that I qualify for EA even though my SATs were received a few days after the deadline. This email is separate from the one that says they received your app

I submitted my application in September and did not receive the “you qualify for early action email” until October. The website states that you will receive an email saying that you qualify for early action by November 25th, but if you are really concerned I would call or email the office.

I submitted everything before the action deadline and my counselor submitted everything the 30th and wolverine access says they had everything before the deadline but that my transcript wasn’t received until november 11th even though my counselor sent it the 30th. should i still be eligible for EA since it was sent before the deadline?

As I already described, I had the same problem as californiagirl94. As a matter of fact, today is the first day it showed that my transcript has been received as of the 13th. I called the office of admissions, but to be honest, the lady I talked to seemed just as clueless as the rest of us. All she said was, “we’ll send you an e-mail letting you know.” Pretty vague answer, if you ask me. I just hope we all still qualify for EA because, frankly, it would be unfair that the University’s inability to organize the sent materials in a timely fashion, falls on the applicant, despite us sending everything in by the November 1st deadline…
