HI everyone:
I am a current third year student studying economics in a university from California. Recently I start to regret a lot that I have choose economics as my major and really don't want to go to a career in accounting or finance area. And I realize I have passions with art designs, I have taken some classes before and enjoyed it a lot. And I do have some art works mainly graphic designs(but not many). So my questions is that is it possible for me to apply for Cooper Union, school of art? If apply, is it possible I can go for a BA degree as a transfer or my only option is to go for a MFA degree? Or they won't even consider who neither have a art background nor have gone to an art school? And suggestions and comments are welcome. Thanks a lot guys!!

Hi.

I believe you can apply as a transfer student for Bachelor of Art.
And I don’t think there is a masters program for Art at Cooper Union.

Also, if you are actually planning to apply, I advice you to make artworks and build up a strong portfolio. Also, check out some old home test questions so you can prepare for the home test questions you will do when you apply.

What if I am going to become a senior next semester, can I still apply as a transfer?

Also Is that possible to transfer with a BA degree already?

Wait. So are you a senior in a college?

Ooops. I’m sorry about that.
So you want to apply as a senior from a university…

I think you can still apply as a transfer.
But then you will have to start from 1st year in order to get your BA in Fine Arts at Cooper.
