I guess Im a so so student compared to others on CC

well about your school, it wouldnt hurt you, but it would help u if emory had kids from your school there, but that doesnt matter.

anyway, personally i think you have a good shot. a better shot if you apply ED but even so, i think you've got a great chance. good luck!

your safety/match/reach designation is a bit screwed up. For instance, boston college is by no means harder than duke or perhaps emory and I would not consider UF a safety school for hardly anyone these days.

my safety/match/reach, is kind of based on other students opinons on CC. It is kind of based on what peoplel have said to me...and UF is actaully a safety if u a FL resident.

fish is right, emory duke and william and mary should all be reaches, you have a good gpa but your sat scores are barely if not out of the middle 50% to lower 25% of each school. But I do agree with you about Florida, its a great school and since your in state I think you are automatic.

Thanks for your info guys, but I am currently working on bring my scores up by 50 points, I think that should open more doors for me..

ur not gettin in sorry

ur gpa uw is very strong but u did say crappy school so its a mix up your sat is below avg. for emory. if u applied ed2 to emory it will help prob 50/50 chance w/o u still have a chance but u need stellar essays. thats just my opiinonon im only a student though.

outburst-You must not have a very good guidance department. I know of kids who were rejected ED from Duke (1440, top 5%, etc.) with significantly better stats than you so I would definitely classify that as a reach to super reach. In fact, I would move all schools in your "match" category minus BU into the reach category. I think Vanderbilt (which you misspelled), Emory, BC, (and perhaps William and Mary) are within reach but I don't see UPENN, Columbia (which you also misspelled), or Duke as very probable. However, by all means apply and see...
