I think you will do fine. Your career direction is more technical and is supported by your scores. Your GPA is fine too. Try not to be over anxious. There is a great school out there for you. Don't let the stats on this board get you down. Of the schools on your list, I favor JMU, GMU, and UMW...challenging, but not wildly so. I know waiting is difficult. A college consultant that my son worked with noted that if your picks are well matched to you, there is generally only a 3% difference between those applicants admitted ED/EA and those admitted RD. Continue to work hard in your studies, and update information to colleges you've applied to. I wish you the best of luck. Please post and let us know the outcome. :O)

Apply to Stanford if you are on the East Coast just take a shot you never know. The 510 v will be ok with them. you are looking really strong. You will get in to all the other schools Looks good to me. GOOD LUCK DONT WORRY you will do great just like orange blossom said. You are totally strong - lots of schools see you as a tech person.

haha, Standford? are you being serious? you made me laugh early in the morning :)
Anyways, I decided not to take Jan SAT. I dont think it's worth it. Besides, I am not even sure the schools will accept such late scores.

I hate to do this but your stats are overall very low and lacking. I would apply to some easier schools than those that you have applied to. Your stats aren't great and EC's are lacking considerably.

Mrryprankster You Are Nuts He Will Get In His Stats Are Great He Just Needs To Write A Real Bs Essay The More Bs The Better They Like To Be Entertained With Crap So They Dont Fall Asleep Over The Essay. Talk About A Topic That Is Screwed Up So They Dont Forget You. Like How You Cut Your Hair When You Were Young To Look Like An Apache Because You Sympathize With The American Indian And Ever Since You Decided To Drink Firewater On Thanksgiving!

Anyone Want Ideas For A Screwy Essay Just Let Me Know I Helped Alot Of Kids ( I Think ) Unless They Get Rejected Then I Take No Responsibility. Hahaha

Basically you have two safeties/matches, two moderately long reaches, and two almost impossibles (unless you are a URM or something). The 50% SAT ranges are:

Your SAT is 1150. In order for a non ranked applicant in RD to consider a school to be a reach, they should be in the middle of the 50% SAT range. In order for the school to be a match you need to be into the upper end of the range; and in order for it to be a safety, you need to be above the range. UMCP is about impossible while Tech is an extreme reach. James Madison and Mary Washington are reaches. I think you can feel good about Virginia Commonwealth and George Mason.
