Chance Me For:
Upenn
Duke (ED, First choice right now)
Northwestern (Family member who attends)
Dartmouth
Wake Forest
SUNY At Binghamton
Amherst
Middlebury

Honestly, I’m very surprised that you got into Duke. I’d say big reach for Penn, Northwestern, and Dartmouth, you should be OK for Wake, and I’m not real familiar with the rest.

^He’s a junior who hasn’t gotten into Duke or even applied anywhere yet.

Your CR score is amazing, your Writing is good, and your Math is just okay. How many times have you taken the SAT? You could easily brush up on Math and Writing to make yourself really competitive. Most people find CR the hardest to break 700 on.

3.4 UW sounds pretty solid if your school is as good as you say. Try to raise though.

Legacy at NW will definitely help. Most of all, being an URM will help a ton everywhere. So if you can boost your SAT a little, keep your GPA high, and write good essays, I’d say those schools aren’t that huge of reaches.

I too believe that if you can just raise that math score and writing with some prep your already good chances at some of these schools will go up a whole lot. Make sure to raise that GPA (work very hard this year and DON’T slack come next year.

Upenn-high reach
Duke (ED, First choice right now)-reach
Northwestern (Family member who attends)-if it’s a parent, that’ll help a lot. (or sibling for that matter)-high match/low reach
Dartmouth-reach
Wake Forest-good chance/match
SUNY At Binghamton-if you’re oos, IN. (i got in this year with lower stats then you have). In state-still most likely in.
Amherst-reach
Middlebury-reach

Work on those SATs and those reaches will soon become closer to matches! Good luck.
