We had 2 midterms. On the first one, I got 34/40 (8 points above the class average). On the second midterm, I got 26/40 (2 points below the class average). I'm pretty sure I tanked the final exam - definitely scored in the D if not F range.

The calculation of grade options are
1) 10% homework, 20% each 2 midterms and the final (50%)
or
2) 10% homework, 20% the better of 2 midterms, and the final 70%

I had him for 20F and he didnt really curve. Most math classes don’t. They’re lenient enough with how you can drop a midterm and replace it with your final. Sorry to say this, but If you really tanked it, you probably didnt pass.

Hey chemeng66, the class will be curved depending on the average. I had him for math 20F, and his midterms were ridiculously easy. I entered his final with 100%. Well, basically, I failed the final so hard. I couldn’t even do two problems out of 8 and had to leave them blank. I guess I was too confident before and didn’t really study for the math final at all. Well, basically I was thinking that I might end up with a B, but when grades came out, I still ended up with an A. I might have received a 60% on the final, so grades are definitely curved. Good luck!
