I am a white female from a small town in New York. I am a freshman in high school and have applied to these five schools to enter as a sophomore:
Milton
Tabor
Choate
Hotchkiss
St. Georges
Right now, Milton is my number one choice, but I would be happy to go to any of these schools, although I wasn’t the biggest fan of St. Georges.
I go to a public school. For the past two years, my grade have been 95 and above in all honors classes. I am two years ahead in math, so i am currently the only freshman in the whole school taking Algebra 2.
I took the test in Connecticut in December, and am in the 89th percentile. I was in the 96th percentile for math, but I forgot the other two scores.
My EC’s are as followed
-I have been playing field hockey on the school team for three years
-I played basketball throughout middle school
-Sailing is my main activity. I talked to coaches at Choate and Hotchkiss in person, and have emailed the varsity coach from every school, along with a “sailing resume”. i have been sailing since I was six, and have been racing since I was eight. I have won many events in my region and am looking forward to becoming apart of an intense sailing program. Since the seventh grade, I have been a skipper(driver) on the varsity team. I also sail a boat with 8 people every Sunday during the season, where I either drive or trim the jib
-This summer, I was a CIT at a local sailing camp, teaching kids from ages 8-12 how to sail. I plan on becoming a full counselor this summer
-I have accumulated more than 100 hours of CS hours
-I play the clarinet
-I made a documentary last year that played at a local documentary film festival
-I have been on the math team since seventh grade
I had good interviews at every school, except for Choate, which felt a bit awkward. Every interview was in January. Hotchkiss was the best one. At Milton, I talked with the head of admission, which went well. Adult generally like me and find me interesting and like my sense of humor.
Also, I am a dual citizen of the US and UK, and have travelled extensively.
I just wanted to know how I look to these schools and whether or not i will get accepted when I hear back on Thursday, 3/10/16. Thanks for reading
Also, I am not applying for FA
