<p>Hey! I'm creating a thread to see how far I'm progressing towards college. Hopefully you can tell me what I'm doing right and what I need to improve on. Your input is very much appreciated!
Currently I'm a High School Junior at a well renowned public high school in the area. Here are my current courses: [ul][<em>]AP Physics B [</em>]World History Honors [<em>]Japanese 3[</em>]Computer Graphics[<em>]AP Computer Science [</em>]English 11 Honors [<em>]AP Calculus BC [/ul]<br>
Here's what I'll be taking as a senior(so far):
[ul][li]Computer Science, [</em>]AP Literature, [<em>]AP Japanese, [</em>]AP Statistics. [/ul][/li]Also my school requires for seniors to do an RP Project, which is basically a science project where we work with mentors and scientists outside of school in labs and such. After it is completed our projects will compete Internationally. I've also taken Engineering 1 and Engineering 2 Freshman and Sophomore year. I plan to either score a 2100 or 2200 on the SAT, though my Sophomore PSAT was a 1650(didn't study for it lol)</p>
<p>For extracurricular activities I have a number of things: I'm a member of the Japanese National Honor Society, Anime/Japan Club, Robotics Team(We go into national competitions and things), Ultimate Frisbee Team, and I may do Track and Field senior year. Also I volunteer for the Town's non profit cable station. I go around during community events recording shows, political meetings, anything that's happening in the city to bring awareness to the people. I also edit the videos myself. An example, for Christmas we went to two hospitals and recorded their Christmas events(face painting, caricatures, and other things) and televised them.</p>
<p>My Unweighted GPA is: 3.2, Weighted: 3.9, I used the UC Calculator and got a 4.1</p>
<p>Right now I decided it's time to look into colleges and focus on SATs. I decided to apply to 1 or 2 stretch schools, some good engineering schools, and my state school as a safe(it's also a ranked engineering school). Here are the schools:
