I went to 4-year university in Illinois and earned 38-semester units. Most of them are lower division courses.
I am currently a CC student in California.
I am going to apply for transfer to UCLA with 73-semester units from CC before Fall 2019.
So the total credits will be 38 from the 4-year university and 73 from the CC in California.
Then the sum is 111-semester units. Does it put me in danger of being denied due to excessive credit? or Is it okay?
How many are upper division? That’s the key.
^^^ This.
Take 70 units, the lower division xfer cap. Add that to the number of upper division units you have. That total is the one to use.
see page 30 of http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/counselors/files/quick-reference-2017.pdf
I had 100 semester units and I was admitted to UCLA, UCB, and UCSD. Not all of them were UC-transferable though and they were all taken at various CC’s.
Only 4 units are upper division
^^^ you’re fine.
