Am I in Good Shape to Transfer to UMD?

Hello, everyone! It has been a long time since I have started a thread on CC as I have been really busy with my college work. You might remember me as the kid who was hopeful that he would be accepted into UMD for the Fall 2013 semester despite his low SAT scores and lack of honors/AP courses. Despite the fact that I am a second-semester freshman, I would like your opinions as to whether I am in good shape to transfer to UMD during the Fall 2015 semester. Here are my stats:

PA Resident
Race: Black
Gender: Male

Intended major at UMD: Biochemistry

Current Major: Biology (might switch to chemistry)
GPA: 3.94
College: Northampton Community College. This college was ranked in the top 50 amongst community colleges nationally

Clubs and Activities:
-Science Club
-Engineering Club (Treasurer)
-Spring 2014 Leadership Class (I get to learn about leadership principles and meet with business leaders in the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania)

Hooks:
-Possible first generation student (Mom and dad don't have a Bachelor's degrees; however, my mom has an Associate's degree)
-Single parent household (I don't know if this is an actual hook or not, but I just decided to throw that out there)
-URM

Honors/Awards:
-Made the Dean's List for the Fall 2013 semester
-I am am in the honor's program, and I have taken three honors courses thus far
-I am a SMaRT Scholar, or a recipient of a scholarship from the National Science Foundation, based on my intent to enter a STEM field
-Member of Phi Theta Kappa

Work Experience/Internships:
-POS Associate (Cashier) at Kohl's during my senior year of high school
-Summer internship at Keystone Mercy, a large Philadelphia-based healthcare company

Based on these stats, do I have a decent chance of transferring into Maryland (assuming that my academic performance remains constant)?

FutureDoc, it’s nice to see you on here again! I’m glad to see that you are doing so well. I think if you keep doing what you’re doing, it looks very promising. Keep up the excellent work and best of luck to you!!

@terpmom7 Thank you so much! I am truly trying my best as Maryland is one of my two dream schools (it is currently competing with Penn State). Also, I am glad to be back! :)

Once you hit 30 transferable credits the only stat they care about is gpa. Keep up the good work and you’re in.
