I applied to Michigan EA and definitely submitted all my application materials before the 11/1 deadline. However, when I check my admission status on their site, it says the date of my application is 11/2 and that my transcript/school report/recs/test scores were received 11/5 (which is ridiculous because I received a postcard from them in the middle of October saying that they got my test scores). I can't seem to find anywhere on the site that mentions whether I'm an EA applicant or an RD applicant. How can I find out?

On the page where you click “App Credentials” to view what has been received, click “View Application Data”. Scroll down to the “Other Information Section”. It should have on the Notification Plan Status Line - Early Action- Qualified. Don’t worry about the received dates. My latest date was 11/13 (my Teacher Recs took so long to get logged!) and I still made the deadline.

Oh, thank you. It says “Early Action - Requested”

Same here, but it has been “Early Action-Requested” for the longest time. It’s driving me crazy.

Don’t worry. It will be changed to “Early Action-Qualified”. It will take a while to get changed and it will take even more time to get the email confirmation. But the application decision will be released by Dec. 24.

They sent me an email and said: “We are pleased to confirm that your University of Michigan freshman application is complete and will be reviewed in our Early Action program.”

Hi guys. I submitted my materials by Nov.1 deadline yet my scores were received on 11.2 and my school materials were received by on 11.6. I am soooooooooo worried since UMich is really my top choice! Do people have the same situations like me ? Am I in the EA pool ???

If everything was sent before the deadline, they will update eventually. The Admssions Office told me they received about 6,000 apps, so they are working hard to get through everything.

Only 6,000 for EA? That seems low.

6,000 is way too low. I am expecting over 21,000 EA applicants this year. Last year, Michigan had 21,000 and the year before, 19,000.

Yep about ~20000 for EA I’ve heard.

OT: If you qualify for EA you will get an email stating so. And your application status will change to Early Action - Approved or something like that

Maybe I misheard the number.

@Alex can you tell if I am in the EA pool ?
