Hi everyone. I took SAT December test today. But there is something concerning me. Today, the proctor reported to SAT counselor that I solved few more seconds on certain sections. He said that he told me to stop but I didn't even hear it. But I found this unfair because he didn't give me any warning about it; he just pretty much came up to me and said "oh I need to report this because you have done this and this." But I swear..I did finish the sections on time. And also, he didn't even give me a warning. I resented and went to see the SAT counselor and told her about the situation. The SAT counselor told me that this is something minor that Collegeboard can actually ignore it and doesn't care about it. I asked her if this will affect my college admission, but she told me it won't; only my scores will. But I'm worried because my mom apparently found out that something like this can put me on the blacklist; therefore, I won't be able to take SAT anymore. Can this be true? I'm so worried...And I did not expect something like this will happen. Help :(

You should be fine dude. Don’t sweat it Just try to be a lil more careful next time

Worst case scenario, take the ACT asap, and compare the two. A great score on the ACT is just as good as SAT and they are totally different companies.

I think the proctor has to give you a warning for the first time. It shouldn’t matter that much.

Just to be clear, the proctor does not have to give a warning about section flipping.

Thanks everyone who replied to this post. I’m planning to meet the counselor again and have a talk about this. It was just so frustrating since it was my first taking the SAT…but I have another question. Say I cancelled the score. Will that report still be made to Collegeboard? Or will that report be invalid?
