Am I in Trouble?

Well, here's the deal. Right now I am a Classics major at ASU here on a national merit scholarship. I always thought I enjoyed it, and I still do, but I'm almost certain it is not something I want to spend the rest of my life doing. I know now that I want a hyper-fast paced life style, with frequent change....not sure that makes any sense. In truth, I haven't a clue what I want to do with my life. Everyone always says "you got the GPA and test scores, just go to law school"....but in truth I don't know the specifics of a law education. Are there any other routes to take with a liberal arts degree if I'm almost positive I don't want to teach? For the record, I have over 100 credits as a sophomore, so I could take classes in other fields, but I haven't found any I'm crazy about. I partially think that it is because of the absurdity of the intro-level courses here at ASU. I don't really know what I'm asking, but does anyone have any career suggestions for someone who wants to travel, who wants an ever-changing career, is a liberal arts major (at least at this point)? To give you a little more info, I've taken classes ranging from the hard sciences (O Chem) to philosophy, from Latin to Romanian, from English to International Politics. I really just can't find a passion for any one field. And I've taken those Strong Profile Tests twice, and they recommend I should be a bookkeeper or a vet....and I hate animals....and a bookkeeper? I'm now rambling, I'm just lost about where to turn and I feel like I am wasting my college time....

If you have good people skills, look into business/sales/marketing. Work for a big international co. and you'll be on the road half the time. Good luck with your decision.

I'm always skeptical of people who say they want to travel all the time. Have you traveled frequently before? What do you envision being frequent?

Regardless, try to get a degree in something and it won't be a waste of your time. Start to think about "If I could do anything in the world, within reason, what would it be?"

Some sales jobs will keep you on the road. Level of change depends on the job. If you've got a squeaky clean background, maybe take a look at the CIA clandestine service. Military life can be fast-paced and uncertain, but it can also be incredibly boring and stifling.

OK, rolled this around in my head for a bit and would suggest IT sales. Technology changes constantly and you can probably find a spot where you can travel your toonces off.
