Am I in trouble?

Today I completed the registration for the SAT test. Since I started it on Dec 1, I left it till now cause I didn't have enough money on my VISA card. Now I find that I cannot register for the Jan 23's SAT II. It says that int'l students must register before Dec 4. What can I do? Basically, I am registered for the SAT, but not for the SAT II...

Am I in trouble? Or can I contact them by phone perhaps and ask them for a seat?

That’s odd. Collegeboard’s website says that the international registration deadline for the Jan 23 test date is Dec 15. Only the early registration deadline has passed. Scroll down to the very bottom: [SAT Dates - SAT Test Dates and Registration Deadlines](<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>SAT Dates and Deadlines – SAT Suite | College Board)

Here’s what I would do: first, try to start a completely new application from scratch. Maybe the system put you in for the early registration deadline when you started your application early. If that does not work, call Collegeboard ASAP.

I don’t understand anything… I created a new account and using this new one, they allow me to register for the Jan 23 test, however with my old account, I can sit for the May and June tests only… I contacted them yesterday, but should I receive nothing, I’ll most probably call them and see what’s going on…

Thanks for your answer B@r!um !

Wait, what do you mean SAT and SAT II? Do you mean you already registered for SAT I for January 23rd testing date? If then, of course you can’t register for SAT II for the same day. If you are “registered for SAT, but not for SAT II” it’s because you signed up to take the SAT I test.

You can only take either the SAT I or SAT II on one testing date. Now you will have to take SAT II some other date. And if that’s the case, then yes, you are in trouble. If you made a mistake and signed up for the wrong test, I would call and get it canceled (or do it online) and then register again for SAT II this time.

Oh my GOD ! I registered for the SAT test, but can’t do both tests in one day ! Wow, now that’s a bad situation… What can I do?

You can take one or the other. It’s physically impossible to take both.

oh crap, my first sitting is in jan, meaning i won’t have time for my physics and chem papers ?! frm singapore btw.

Correct, you’ll only be able to take the SAT.

A word of advice…check with the universities that your applying to as a lot of them don’t actually require the SAT reasoning test from international students who haven’t studied the American curriculum. If this is the case, you can simply sit the SATII exams.

Another possibility ben_chia, depending on what colleges you are applying to:
You might want to sit the subject tests in January, and the ACT in February (many colleges accept the Feb ACT), if you need a complete complement for your application. Or, like the previous post said, you might not even need to sit the SAT reasoning/ACT at all.

Another suggestion based upon EphemeralEternal’s post…Sit the ACT next weekend on standby. I’m doing it and, although you won’t have prepared much (I haven’t either) there’s nothing really to lose as you don’t have to send your scores if you don’t want to.

Just a suggestion.
