Am I Ivy Material?

Hi, I'm a freshman at Tufts University right now and while all over campus faculty and students alike love to break out the "new ivy" buzzword, the reality is that Tufts is still not the Ivy League. I have gotten solid grades since getting here and aim to continue that. While I like Tufts just fine, I feel that I may have an opportunity to transfer into an Ivy or near Ivy school (top 15) and I do not want to pass up this opportunity. I will be looking to transfer either for the Spring of 2009 or the Fall of 2009. I am looking for an elite school in or very near a major city. I will most likely major in international relations, poli sci, or something similar. Having found out that Harvard will not be accepting any transfers for the next two years, currently I am looking at Georgetown, Columbia, and UPenn. Are these reasonable goals given my stats? Also, please give me some other suggestions for schools that could work for me. Please check out my stats and tell me what you think. Thanks in advance.

great essays (my essay was chosen as one of the ones tufts posts on their site as examples)

Again, I really appreciate your advise and thanks in advance guys

You should be able to get into a school better than tufts probably. Although, if you are doing international relations, why on earth would you transfer out?

Ivies are so much harder to get into as a transfer I give you or anyone else very slim odds. You have the Fletcher School at Tufts and you can cross-register at Harvard. I did a Masters at Harvard and took a NE Asian IR seminar at Fletcher and found the prof and students top notch. And remember most importantly-- the Ivy League is just an athletic conference.

You should be able to get into Georgetown, which is definitely your best bet in the field.

What the-

Be happy. Jeez. You're at Tufts, for crying out loud. It's ivy-equivalent.

UChicago? I don't know how good their International Relations program is but it meets some of your critera...
