Am I just not cut out to be an engineer?

Just go to comps and do problems that were really hard. Actually my school might as well not have had a math team. We never practiced and always got our asses whupped because we never knew what the questions were going to be like. It was quite useless and stupid kids got to go all the time. I was just making a point with it though.

And I think the physics is more theory and less calculations. Actually many questions involve both (like questions that ask a circuit system and you solve for a particular value but your answer is completely in the variables that you would use to solve for it, the test always has those and they are always hard).
